1:24 Tamiya Ford Mustang GT4

The Mustang GT4 is Ford’s commercial racing car that was unveiled at the 2016 SEMA show. The base was the high-performance Mustang Shelby GT350R-C. The left and right doors, roof, and hood have been changed to carbon fiber to reduce weight, and the aerodynamics have been improved with a large rear wing and diffuser. It’s tuned for racing, and has a 580 horsepower 5.2 liter V8 engine in front, and a 6-speed sequential transmission. The suspension has the same basic structure, but it’s equipped with an anti-roll bar and an adjustable damper mount. After it won its first victory in March 2017, many machines that have been entrusted to amateur race drivers have been active in GT4 races worldwide. This kit from Tamiya features a rear bumper to insure rigidity, and the spartan interior with the roll cage stretched out and the bucket-type driver’s seat is just like on the real thing. The Motec monitor on the steering column displays the screen with slide marks, and parts are included for the air jack on the passenger side and electrical parts. The front and rear suspension feature a reduced number of parts and a realistic finish, and the special lower control arm is also reproduced. The mirrors are plated, and the lower part of the engine and gear case that are visible from the back of the vehicle are made of different parts for a realistic effect. Decals and window masks are also included.
