Description

1:24 NuNu Audi brought 4WD technology to the rally world, showing overwhelming power. Their next goal was to challenge circuit racing with 4WD. A machine based on the four-door Audi Quattro debuted in 1995 in the Class 2 touring car race, and participated in the British Touring Car Championship in 1996. It carries an in-line four-cylinder two-liter engine that produces over 300 horsepower. Power was transmitted to the four wheels with a Quattro system via a six-speed sequential gearbox. The 4WD A4 won the championship with driver Frank Biela while being imposed with a 100-kilogram weight handicap against the 2WD machine. The effectiveness of 4WD was demonstrated even in races on circuit courses set on paved roads.

This model kit from NuNu is a completely new mold! From the form of its body to the details of the underside of the chassis that reproduces the four-wheel drive mechanism, and even the cockpit that’s unique to the competition model, this kit reproduces the vehicle accurately while keeping ease of assembly in mind. The rear wing and details of the front spoiler are finished with fine reproduction of the details; the cockpit includes the roll bar and in-vehicle equipment. Decals are included for Audi Sports UK’s machine, car no. 45 driven by Frank Biela, and John Bintcliff’s car no. 44, who won the series championship in the 1996 season
