Description

1:24 NuNu This model kit from NuNu is a completely new mold, and reproduces the Volvo S40 that debuted in the 1997 British Touring Car Championship. This vehicle was developed to compete in the BTCC, and won the race at Brands Hatch on Sept. 7. It carries an in-line five-cylinder 1999cc engine that generates a maximum of 300 horsepower; the engine was mounted at the very end of the front bulkhead. As a result, the center of gravity was lowered and the mass was concentrated, resulting in quick handling characteristics. It was driven by the Swedish driver Rykard Rydell  and the British driver Kelvin Burt. Ricardo Liddell only recorded one win in 1997, his debut season, but in 1998 he took five wins, winning the driver’s championship handily.

This model kit features a highly detailed chassis, with the front and rear suspensions having a three-dimensional finish. The unique layout with the driver’s seat shifted backwards is modeled in detail, along with the roll cage. Decals are included for the 1997 BTCC Brands Hatch race-winning car, including its distinctive body stripes.
